Questions before you book
What happens at a first visit?
You start with 30 minutes of talking and looking under the lamp, then a facial planned from what you said. You leave with a written note of what Shantel saw, what she did and what to do at home until your next visit.
How long is a first visit?
About 90 minutes: the consultation, the facial and a few minutes to book your next visit.
Do I need a consultation?
Yes, before a first facial and before any series. It is the first part of the first visit, or you can book it on its own.
How often should I come?
Most people come every three to four weeks for a few visits. Shantel tells you at each visit when she'd like to see you next.
Can I come with a breakout?
Yes. Tell us when you book. If your skin is too sore for extractions, you'll have a calm facial instead, or we'll move the visit.
What should I do before a visit, and after it?
Before: come as you are and bring what you use at home. After: Shantel writes down what to do at home until your next visit, and your skin may feel tender for a day or two.
When do you suggest a dermatologist?
When what Shantel sees is a doctor's job: deep, painful lumps, a rash, swelling, or a mark that has changed. She'll tell you plainly.
Who should ask a doctor first?
If you are pregnant, take a medicine for your skin from a doctor or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before booking an extraction facial or LED light.
How does pricing work?
The studio's prices show on the booking page when you choose a visit. They follow the service, how long it takes and what you add.
Where do I park?
There's a lot behind 310 West Franklin Street. Use the courtyard door; Suite 6 is the first door on the left, on the ground floor.
